SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Utah Education Fits All (UEFA) released the following statement today in response to recent proceedings in the 3rd District Court regarding the constitutionality of the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program.
“While we respectfully disagree with Judge Scott’s partial ruling against this scholarship,” said Robyn Bagley, Executive Director of UEFA, “We are grateful that families can continue forward in their education journey, uninterrupted, until such time the Utah Supreme Court can rule. We are confident that they will rule in favor of the Utah Fits All Program and allow families to stay focused on what is most important, finding the best fit for their child’s education.”
Over 22,000 Utah families look to UEFA to support this scholarship and education options in the state. For Utah families, Utah Fits All isn’t just policy—it's possibility. It’s an answer to late-night worries, mounting frustration, and students slipping through the cracks. Designed to give parents the freedom to choose an education path customized to fit their child's unique needs, this innovative program has transformed lives in under 9 months. Children with learning differences have discovered environments where they can finally thrive. Struggling students have gained confidence. Families have found hope.
UEFA is committed to champion education opportunities for all Utah families during this process. “This is a pivotal moment for education in Utah,” said Robyn Bagley, “Families from every background are choosing learning environments that reflect their values, expectations, and address their children’s learning needs in ways that serve them best. We are encouraged that the court and all parties involved recognized the need to avoid disruption and instability to their education while seeking clarity from our state’s highest court.”
The Utah Fits All Program currently serves over 10,000 students and has an expanded appropriation of $100 million for the 2025–2026 academic year. UEFA encourages families to continue submitting applications ahead of the May 1 deadline, as doing so secures their application opportunity regardless of the final outcome of the appeal.
